jbradfor 681 Posted October 7, 2011 at 03:05 PM Report Just to clarify: we ask questions here, right, not in the "app"? And that question above doesn't count as one of my 21 questions, does it? Crap, have I just used to 2 of my questions? Oh no, is that 3 now?
feihong 615 Posted October 7, 2011 at 03:29 PM Report Questions in English don't count towards the 21. And yes, you ask questions in the comments. But if you already know the answer, you can just directly post it as a comment with a spoiler tag.
jbradfor 681 Posted October 7, 2011 at 05:01 PM Report [i assume the answer to the riddle is a type of 用品? Is that how to interpret the format?]
semantic nuance 119 Posted October 9, 2011 at 04:04 PM Report Can native speakers of Chinese answer this? Or it's a practice exclusively for Chinese learners?
feihong 615 Posted October 9, 2011 at 05:34 PM Report @semantic nuance: Feel free to participate.
feihong 615 Posted October 9, 2011 at 06:17 PM Report No need to apologize, I think I should have said "你问关于谜语的是非题时,请用中文".
jbradfor 681 Posted October 9, 2011 at 07:21 PM Report @semantic nuance, the spoiler tag is the third icon from the left on the top row; hover over it and it's called "Special BBCode", click on it and select spoiler. Isn't that obvious? [At one time roddy added a spoiler tag icon, but I don't see it now.]
feihong 615 Posted October 10, 2011 at 11:52 PM Report I assume 面包箱 means bread box, not toaster.
jbradfor 681 Posted October 11, 2011 at 01:35 PM Report I'm not sure what 面包箱 means either, but yes, I was trying to say "bread box".
feihong 615 Posted October 11, 2011 at 02:58 PM Report Searching for 面包箱 on Google yields images of bread boxes, so I think that's what bread box is in Chinese.
jbradfor 681 Posted October 12, 2011 at 09:02 PM Report [i really hope that question makes sense and I didn't totally misunderstand the riddle.]
feihong 615 Posted October 12, 2011 at 10:32 PM Report [i'm pretty sure you were asking if the "two brothers" eat food like a person does.]
jbradfor 681 Posted October 12, 2011 at 11:25 PM Report Humm, did I get the question to riddle right? I would translate it as Two brother of average height, they eat three meals a day but don't grow fat.
feihong 615 Posted October 13, 2011 at 01:23 AM Report
feihong 615 Posted October 16, 2011 at 10:00 PM Report I can't think of a good reason to limit the number of questions to 21, so I'm removing the restriction.
