This was really hard but fun to do. Definitely one of the best ones.

1. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back

Yoda says: "Do or Do not. There is no try."

2. The Terminator

The Terminator says: "I'll be back."

3. Raiders of the Lost Ark

Indiana says: "Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?"

4. Gone with the Wind

Rhett Butler says: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."

5. The Wizard of Oz

Wicked Witch of the West says: "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!"

6. Scarface

Tony Montana says: "Say hello to my little friend!"

7. The Godfather

Don Corleone says: "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

I was told that ...

for "Do or Do not. There is no try."

没得试的 is better than 没有试图 and that you wouldn't tell someone 没有试图. You usually would say 'something 没有试图 something".

没有试图 sounds more like "haven't tried", "didn't try", "had no intention (plan) of trying" to me ...

I'm just pointing this out. I don't know enough to be sure.

@jkhsu: Someone also told me this, but I kept it the way it was, because I'm a stubborn son of a gun.

Actually, I thought the awkwardness was appropriate because, well, it's Yoda! Although, yeah, that particular phrase in the original English is not one of his more awkward-sounding quotes. Good of you to point it out, though, because I'd totally forgotten about that.

BTW, what 成语 do you get when you put the extra characters together?

When I was trying to solve the puzzle, I actually got the 成语 when I was just trying out different characters before I got all the answers. So it actually helped me eliminate those characters. If you just used random characters, the puzzle would have been even harder.

The 成语 from the extra characters:

千钧一发 = "千钧重物用一根头发系着。比喻情况万分危急或异常要紧."

This one was pretty sweet. Bravo. I mixed a couple up.

I had "发个招呼" which I realize now makes no sense. Forgot to be on the look out for the bonus phrase. Good phrase, have seen it pop up a good bit lately.

@Gleaves: I'm pretty sure I learned that phrase from a comic. Can't remember which one, though.
