Bicycles for the win!

 

I remember pictures of China from the 1980s - hundreds of men in black slacks and white shirts all riding bicycles though a heavy intersection. I'm sure that is long gone now!

 

What is the ratio like these days, cycles to automobiles? I assume its much like any other global city in places like Beijing, Shanghai and other large cities.

Actually the balance has shifted more towards the bike recently with the (over) expansion of bike-sharing schemes

Mobile 摩拜 and ofo 小黄车 have taken over the streets lately!  Love the bike the sharing programs.
