Can someone, preferably anonymoose, explain the rules of the game in this thread?

 

anonymoose appears to have posted 18 of these picture questions in the last 4 months, yet in cases where someone has suggested an answer anonymoose has only once replied to that answer to confirm or reject the suggestion. This doesn't really encourage participation.

 

Have I misread the rules of engagement?  Are the questions just there to stimulate our curiosity and not really intended to elicit responses?

Judging from the squiggles that look to be Thai script this is most likely in Guangxi.

It looks like the sign is on the railing (and barbed wire!) of a bridge above either train tracks or a river. Or perhaps just low ground.

It says at the bottom Xishuangbanna Airport, and the script is Dai script.
