roddy Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:33 AM Report Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:33 AM This is a bit of a long shot, but if anyone has a copy of Lhasa, The Holy City written by F S Chapman in 1936 let me know and save me a bit of a headache - I've got a translation to do with a quote from the book and currently the best I can do is attempt to write in the style of a 1930s schoolteacher. Have Googled quite extensively, but feel free to try and out-Google me.Don't want (or have time) to buy a copy, just need an online version or someone to type out a certain bit for me. Quote
skylee Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:49 AM Report Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:49 AM There are copies in libraries here. If necessary I may be able to help. Quote
roddy Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:59 AM Author Report Posted September 15, 2006 at 10:59 AM Libraries! I'd completely forgotten about libraries! That's the internet for you. I'm actually up against a rapidly approaching deadline, so I may have to just skip it, unless someone happens to have a copy on their shelf. Tried Google's book search though, and apparently the Chinese Academy of Sciences has a copy. Thanks for the offer though. Quote
