Anywhere to study for a 3-4 months starting in Dec/Jan?

I'm looking to study Mandarin somewhere for 3-4 months while I take a senester off from University in Canada. Unfortunately, it seems many chinese university schedules are in direct conflict with Canadian schedules! i.e. they start in late feb/march.

With this being said, does anyone know of anywhere to study Mandarin in China for a 3-4 months starting in January? I'm 22, so the thought of living on University with a bunch of other foreigners my age learning Mandarinwas one of my reasons for going so atmosphere and environment are important to me. Beijing and Shanghai were my first choices, but I'm beginning to become open to other cities also.
