yonitabonita Posted September 24, 2006 at 04:41 AM Report Posted September 24, 2006 at 04:41 AM Hi folks, Last night I went along to a Gaming night run by a woman with a collection of several hundred board games. It was a nice way to meet people outside the student/Wudaokou crowd. And the person that runs the evenings is constantly on the lookout for new people to come along, thus this posting. It's an unpretentious vibe (ok, outright geeky). The other players were from all over the place - some Chinese, Americans, Germans, Australians, Singaporeans etc etc. The age group is from 12 to about 70, everyone's here for a different reason. The games take place one evening per week (always weekends) at all different venues around Beijing (usually cafes) so that the location can always suit someone. Last night it was at 'Our Lounge' at Xizhimen. COST: ONLY WHATEVER YOU ORDER AT THE CAFE Some of the new arrivals to Beijing are still Nigel-no-mates so, if anyone's interested, just PM me and I can put you in contact with the woman that runs the evenings who'll provide you with further info. - End of advertisement.- Yonita (Roddy - I hope this doesn't belong to Classifieds, apologies in advance if I've been a numpty) Quote

yonitabonita Posted October 13, 2006 at 07:33 AM Author Report Posted October 13, 2006 at 07:33 AM Ama-li, I don't seem to be able to PM you either. If you enable receiving emails I can send the details to you via email. Y Quote
roddy Posted October 13, 2006 at 07:52 AM Report Posted October 13, 2006 at 07:52 AM New users can't send or receive pm's. As mentioned if you enable receiving emails in your options other users should be able to email you. Basically I get fewer 'hey, why can't I pm' messages this way than I do 'hey, why am I getting pm spam' messages the other way, so it works for me. There's still the email option if you want to be easily contactable / get spam. Ideally if you want guests to be able to contact you, put contact details in your message. Quote
