Recharging items back inthe UK

I have an electronic dictionary which I bought in China. It has a rechargeable battery. Would it be ok to charge it here in the UK, or is the power too strong? (240 here in the UK, 220 in China, I think)

UK devices work here just fine and vice versa. The difference between 240 and 220 is negligible. Your UK connection seldom reaches 240!
