imron Posted May 25, 2020 at 03:59 AM Author Report Posted May 25, 2020 at 03:59 AM Yes, it appears that `dia` is not counted as a valid syllable when in "checked" mode. You can still type it, but you have to switch to unchecked mode and type `dia3` 1 Quote

Pall Posted September 22, 2020 at 05:33 PM Report Posted September 22, 2020 at 05:33 PM @imron Hi, yo1 syllable cannot be typed with tonemark even in 'checked' mode whether with seperate characters or diacritics. No inconvenience, it's just for your information. It's in 哎哟. - Sorry, I confused, I had to switch to 'unchecked' mode instead. It's typed properly. 1 Quote

Pall Posted June 12, 2021 at 12:33 PM Report Posted June 12, 2021 at 12:33 PM @imronHello, Imron The keyboard layout, which I used as installing the Pinyinput, has disappeared in the Menu (screenshot). It was Australian keyboard, it's not there. And because of that, probably, it types pinyin wrongly all the time. What should I do? 1 Quote
imron Posted June 13, 2021 at 08:40 AM Author Report Posted June 13, 2021 at 08:40 AM Set it to US keyboard, which has an identical layout. Quote

imron Posted June 13, 2021 at 10:47 AM Author Report Posted June 13, 2021 at 10:47 AM Are you talking about the incorrect tone placement? That’s because it is running in ‘unchecked’ mode, so pinyinput will put the tone on the last letter you typed. If you put it in checked mode it will place the tone in the correct place for the syllable. 1 Quote
urnammu Posted June 18, 2022 at 09:59 AM Report Posted June 18, 2022 at 09:59 AM I'm a US Dvorak user on Windows 11. Pinyinput seems to work, but how do I get access to its configuration screen, like in the screenshot a few posts above? Also, the 'preview popup' (for lack of a better word) appears quite far from my cursor location, which is a bit annoying... Finally, Pinyinput seems to have installed an extra US English keyboard layout. Not a huge deal, but since I change keyboard layouts using Win+Space, that means I have to cycle through one more keyboard layout to get back to my original Dvorak. (On install, I've chosen to use the Chinese (Simplified, PRC) locale). Anyway, thanks for your work on this program! Fixing the issues above would make it perfect! Quote
