Southernjohn Posted September 27, 2006 at 05:13 PM Report Posted September 27, 2006 at 05:13 PM Hi everyone- I posted a QQ question a while back, and I have gotten it up and running just fine. My question is that for a long time I have been wondering if there is some sort of "system-level" annotator out there, that would allow me to hover the cursor over chinese text in any open window, such as MSN messenger or QQ, and have it translated. When I was just using MSN I would translate things by quicky pasting them into ZDT's annotator. But when I tried doing this with chinese text copied from a QQ chat window, it just produced garbled nonsense. It doesn't take a genius to see it is some sort of font problem. But my chinese font knowledge continues to be somewhat "lacking".... it seems the more I learn about it the more confused I get. Can anyone help me either 1)solve this compatibility problem between my QQ and ZDT annotator and/or 2)find a system-level annotator I could install on my computer. Is there even such a thing? Is it even possible? thanks in advance for the help, kindest regards, southernjohn. Quote
pandaxiongmao Posted September 28, 2006 at 10:05 AM Report Posted September 28, 2006 at 10:05 AM Kingsoft Powerword works on WindowsXP if you use that. It can translate pretty much any Chinese you can see on the screen. However, it doesn't work on Windows Vista. I am also not aware of any Mac version. Quote
