Translating Some Lyrics

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to use. I'm having trouble understanding a song and don't know whether it is because I the usage is too advanced for me or because the lyrics don't lend themselves to a strict definition of the words.

Anyway, the first few lines of an Emil Chau song are:

别想你忍不住我提醒自己

伤了心有些事也要过去

心很痛痛的不想再做我自己

别想你忍不住我提醒自己 = "Don't think of you, I can't stop reminding myself".

In English this doesn't make much sense. Does it mean something more like, "I just have to keep reminding myself not to think about you." ?

伤了心有些事也要过去 = My heart was broken, some things also have to pass.

Also doesn't make much sense in English.

心很痛痛的不想再做我自己 = It hurts so much I don’t want to go on being myself.

My question here is about "再做". Is it used here to stress that being himself means having to experience the heartbreak over and over again, or is "再做" is commonly used when discussing life (e.g., being a self involves countless iterations of 再做-ing). (I hope I'm not sounding ridiculous here.)

Being himself means he must face up to the terrible heartbreak, so he wishes he could be someone else, but not himself. I think you can understand “再做我自己” as “再 any more” and “做自己 be himself”.
