The Sequel to "QQ Troubleshoot"...Kingsoft Troubleshoot

Hi all again,

Thanks to those who contributed their thoughts to my last thread concerning QQ. I took one person's advice and purchased a new version of Kingsoft here on the mainland. It seems to be a pretty powerful program and I am looking forward to getting it working right.

Sigh.... yet another font/encoding problem. The menus are all in Chinese but that is ok, I had anticipated that before buying. But there must be some sort of encoding issue because all of the menus are just ???????. That is rather difficult to read.

I'm sorry, I know people bring up font-related problems here every week.

thanks in advance for the help.

I am guessing if you are using a recent version of Windows, you need to change the language for non Unicode programs to Chinese.

Some information about how to do it on Windows XP:

If that is not it, have you added support for East-Asian languages in your copies of Windows?
