Thank you so much for your help!

As per Roddy's request:-

All the words/ phrases were taken from news articles. They were neither from China nor Taiwan. Actually, I got them from Sinchew online, one of the leading Chinese newspapers in Malaysia. They were written in Baihuawen (Modern Chinese).

I couldn't find their meanings from Zhongwen.com or/and Iciba.com, I shall give you my own interpretations later.

I am going to rearrange my words/phrases as Item A, B, C, etc

Please ignore my previous entries as 1, 2, 3 because they got a bit messy after being merged by Roddy.

A.攫匪

妈妈王翠英去年8月1日遇攫匪倒地猝死,警方至今也未告知案件结果。

Robber

Killing gas?

Hello again!!

What would you translate the above phrase into English?

Iciba explains it as "at swords points". Is this true?

Can you recommend a good online Chinese-English with pinyin dictionary to me, please?

Thanks a lot!!

What are 肃杀 and 戾气?

I got them from this short sentence 玫瑰的娇柔及时化解了肃杀的戾气.

What does it actually mean?

Thank you so much!!

The phrase is juéfěi. I don't know if it's a word but if it is, it could mean "robber". In what context did you find it?

Arigatou HashiriKata-san!!

Ohisashiburi desune!

Well, I actually got it from this sentence, "...遇攫匪倒地猝死".

So I think you're right! The whole sentence would mean something like, "...died suddenly after meeting the robbers".

Is he the one who looks after the horses?
That'll be very rude, Konekochan! 驸马爷 means the king's son-in-law, which is the husband of a pincess!

Ha ha ha... Haruhodo! Omoshiroi!!

But why do we need the Kanji of "Horse" in there??

Chotto konranshiteiru no K.

Did you mean 偃旗息鼓 yan3 qi2 xi1 gu3?

According to my 成語詞典, it's when an army puts down their flag and stops beating their war drums, because they're trying to hide their whereabouts or because they've stopped fighting. It's an analogy for stopping doing something (停止行動).

I think (but not 100% sure  ):

1. = Size (of land, etc.)

2. = A lame duck

I hope others will come for the remaining words.

 Re: 1 - I think you're right for this. Do you know how to read the second kanji?

:( Re: 2 - Well, I think, it's more than just a lame duck. Does it mean someone who's not longer popular anymore? But he used to be very popular in the past??

Do you know how to read the second kanji?
It should be mào.
Does it mean someone who's not longer popular anymore? But he used to be very popular in the past??
I think that's a kind of "lame duck", isn't it?
