Konglong Posted November 20, 2004 at 02:23 AM Report Posted November 20, 2004 at 02:23 AM Most PPC Chinese software out there is not very expensive. Try all of them out before deciding on one. Here is a short list. D-Ear - Can input pinyin sentences. Supposedly learns as you go. Simplified Chinese. Effy - Many input type. Too hard to explain. Go to the site for demos. Maction Monster SIP - Many input types. I prefer the 天才手寫 (GenieHand) Comes with both a 繁體 and a 簡體 version. Recognition is excellent. CEStar - I have yet to get this one working with my Chinese PPC. Maybe it is only intended for English based OS's. Packaged with a nice text editor that supports numerous encodings. Quote
DEF Posted December 16, 2004 at 11:17 PM Report Posted December 16, 2004 at 11:17 PM Monster Chinese is a good software. It supports both taditional and simplified Chinese system with good recognition ability . Users of Monster Chinese don't have to worry about encountering different writing system between Taiwan and China . Besides, it works smoothly and rarely cause system problem. Comparing the original chinese system on my iPAQ and Monster Chinese , I'll definitely choose to use Monster Chinese . That's mine and my frineds' experience. BTW , I am a Taiwanese. Quote
