FrancisYep Posted March 12, 2004 at 06:54 AM Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2004 at 06:54 AM Geek, Thanks. I bought it. The English-Chinese dict works but cannot make the Chinese-English dict to work. Anyone has any experience with this application? Konglong Posted March 24, 2004 at 05:57 AM Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 at 05:57 AM If you had a PocketPC I could help you. Palm's still are unicode compliant, hence I haven't purchased one. Is you PDA a Chinese based OS, or are you running extra software to display the Chinese? Kong
FrancisYep Posted March 24, 2004 at 06:16 AM Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 at 06:16 AM Honglong, It's an English OS, I bought the CJKOS but it did not work. I ended up buying another product, the Oxford dictionary by Pleco. This works well & doesn't need the Chinese OS, but does not talk. I'm happy with it. Thanks, Francis PS, if anyone interested, website is www.Pleco.com
Konglong Posted March 25, 2004 at 12:24 AM Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 at 12:24 AM Yeah, I hear that is a pretty good program. Especially for those without the CJKOS. If anyone has a PocketPC, there are a few free Chinese/English English/Chinese dictionaries.

HashiriKata Posted February 18, 2006 at 09:16 PM Report Share Posted February 18, 2006 at 09:16 PM Sorry to be off-topic, but could anyone very briefly please tell me the difference between a Pocket PC and a Palm PDA? How do I recognize which is which if I see them? (My background: very familiar with desktops and laptops, but haven't touched anything smaller)
skylee Posted February 19, 2006 at 02:48 AM Report Share Posted February 19, 2006 at 02:48 AM I have both but sadly all I know is that they use different operating systems - Palms use Palm OS and pocket pcs use some windows os (at least mine does); palm is more useful as a diary tool and ppc has so many functions that I don't need but is weaker as a diary ... personally I prefer palm but it is too late now that I have bought a ppc ... Sorry that I am not providing useful info ...
HashiriKata Posted February 19, 2006 at 07:58 AM Report Share Posted February 19, 2006 at 07:58 AM Thanks skylee! Your reply is all I needed. I've also had a look at the images on Google and physically they seem similar. Sorry to all for the diversion .
