telebloke Posted October 17, 2006 at 02:50 AM Report Posted October 17, 2006 at 02:50 AM Hi, I am wondering if anyone can tell me the cheapest way to send parcels to Australia. I plan on buying electronic parts items from China and sending parcels that would way approximately 15kg, 20kg,30kg. I know that China post has limit of 20kg. EMS is too expensive and would make it not worthwhile. I would only be sending maybe one parcel per fortnight or month to start, Any suggestions welcome. Quote
md1101 Posted October 25, 2006 at 03:28 AM Report Posted October 25, 2006 at 03:28 AM the cheapest way i could find when sending from xi'an to sydney was just a standard parcel (19.5kg) and it cost me 381 kuai. that was by 水陆路 - land and sea. so it took about 2 months to get to its destination. (it costs a lot more to send by air of course) if memory serves me correctly it costs something like 200 kuai for the first 0 - 10kg then 20rmb per kilo there after. mind you i dont think it was insured and considering you're sending electronic items that might be important to you..
