alexamies Posted October 29, 2006 at 11:16 PM Report Posted October 29, 2006 at 11:16 PM Does anyone know the meaning of "追求苗求" (zhui2 qui2 miao2 qui2) ? I understand that 追求 means pursuing or seeking but I suspect that it is part of an idiom "追求苗求", which I am unsure about. The context is the sentence 现时夏日炎炎,不少追求苗求的女性“以果代餐”. It is part of an article, "水果竟比牛奶更壮骨?" that I am translating at http://chinesenotes.com/bones_article.html Quote
skylee Posted October 30, 2006 at 02:51 AM Report Posted October 30, 2006 at 02:51 AM It is most probably a typo of 苗條 (slender). btw, the pinyin for 求 is qiu2, not qui2. Quote
