panthr Posted October 30, 2006 at 06:57 AM Report Posted October 30, 2006 at 06:57 AM I bought the entire collection of NPCR Vol. 1. Unfortunately the Instructor's Manual and accompanying audio is entirely in Chinese. I was able to find the answers to the Workbook excercises in there so I know the manual is at least necessary but is there an English language version that I missed somewhere? Quote

So far as we know, the Instructor's Manuals and the audio of New Practical Chinese Reader 1-5 are all entirely in Chinese, there’s no English language version for them. Quote
atitarev Posted October 31, 2006 at 09:36 PM Report Posted October 31, 2006 at 09:36 PM Why would you need the audio in a language other than Chinese? I find the recordings great and very helpful. They have both natural and slow speed for the 1st 2 volumes. Would be good to have the answers for the workbook, I agree. Quote
wrbt Posted November 1, 2006 at 07:04 PM Report Posted November 1, 2006 at 07:04 PM NPCR does have very good recordings. In book 3 they drop the slow repeat of the texts and throw in a conversation practice section to go along with the pattern drills and reading comprehension piece. Quote
