hidden12345 Posted November 6, 2006 at 02:20 AM Report Posted November 6, 2006 at 02:20 AM If you were able to pick up and move to a different city in China every time the seasons changed with the intention of always being in the most comfortable weather which four areas would it be with each corresponding season? Personally I could care less if the air is humid or dry, its just searing heat and bitter cold that i want to avoid. So here are my picks: Fall: Beijing Winter: Chongqing/ Hongkong/ Hainan Island Spring: Guilin/ Kunming (Yunnan general vic.) Summer: Harbin Quote
roddy Posted November 6, 2006 at 02:37 AM Report Posted November 6, 2006 at 02:37 AM Have you spent a summer in Harbin? I'm not sure what it's like generally, but the year I was there it was unpleasantly hot. I might be inclined to summer in Kunming (spring all year round, yeah? Doesn't matter when you go), and use the spring to spend some time in a northern city without being either deep frozen or cooked. Quote
Ridgewell Posted November 6, 2006 at 04:29 AM Report Posted November 6, 2006 at 04:29 AM Spring : Xiamen Summer : Dalian Fall : Nanjing Winter - A small town in eastern Tibet : Snow-covered lands and a lot of sun (not all the winter though, more than a month might be boring). But to avoid cold, Xishuangbanna would be great ! Quote
liuzhou Posted November 6, 2006 at 06:29 AM Report Posted November 6, 2006 at 06:29 AM I live about 150km from Guilin and wouldn't recommend it as a good place to spend spring. The weather is so changeable; it rains; everyone gets colds. Quote
