joshluu06 Posted November 10, 2006 at 10:49 AM Report Posted November 10, 2006 at 10:49 AM Babelfish Translation: I did not know why I really do like him. But I knew he does not want to love me. I really am the fool person. I knew I do not have "chance" with him in the same place. I do not like this "feeling". My "hope" my heart does not pass. I like him. . Goodbye. I do not really understand. Perhaps the translation is a little off? May someone please help me with the literal translation; what it means; what the person is trying to say. Appreciate the time. Thank you. Quote

Divanna Posted November 10, 2006 at 01:08 PM Report Posted November 10, 2006 at 01:08 PM I don't know why I really love him. But I know that he doesn't want to love me. I'm such a fool. I know that I don't have a chance to be with him(become lovers with him). I don't like this feeling. I think my mind is blocked. Ah, good-bye. The author seems to misunderstand the meaning of "hope", since the English-Chinese dictionary mostly translates it into "想"(xiang), which also means "think" in Chinese. Quote

anonymoose Posted November 10, 2006 at 02:44 PM Report Posted November 10, 2006 at 02:44 PM I think the Babelfish translation is good enough to get the gist of the message. But anyway, my translation is as follows: I don't know why I really like him. But I know he won't love me. I'm really a fool. I know I don't have a chance of being together with him. I don't like this feeling. I wish my heart wouldn't hurt any more. I like him. Ah. Bye. Quote
Peng Posted November 10, 2006 at 07:58 PM Report Posted November 10, 2006 at 07:58 PM Somehow "啊. 再见了." made me laugh. Quote
Quest Posted November 10, 2006 at 11:16 PM Report Posted November 10, 2006 at 11:16 PM The Chinese itself has many mistakes. Quote
vackey Posted November 21, 2006 at 03:31 AM Report Posted November 21, 2006 at 03:31 AM There are some grammar mistakes in the above Chinese. It also makes me confused though I am a Chinese. However, I got the main idea of the paragraph after several times of reading. "I don't known why I am falling in love with him, but I do know that he does not love me. I am fulish. I konw that I have no chance to date with him. I hate this. I hope that my heart will not break any more. I love him. Farewell! " The mainly meaning of the paragraph is that the writer would like to express her sadness of not being loveed by him, and would like to get out off the sadness. Quote
