I have just read a number of posts from people looking to get a masters degree in Chinese in China. I have the same kind of interest. I have studied mostly oral chinese in the past couple of years but find that I now want to return to the U.S. and get a degree in some kind of health profession and either return to study chinese medicine or just to live and work in my new occupation. I would like to spend a year to advance my chinese so that I can read very fluidly - I think this will help me maintain my skills while at home and allow me to continue to develop my vocabulary. I have heard that the BLCU has a program like this but it is very $$$. Are there other options out there?
