Gas stations in Beijing

I remember there were hardly any gas stations for vehicles in Beijing back in the 1980s. Any know how many gas stations there are now in Beijing compared to the 1980s?

I don't know about Beijing, but certainly in other cities in China gas stations are usually located towards the outskirts of the cities before you go onto the express ways (large roads between cities).
