foolip Posted November 16, 2006 at 06:38 AM Report Posted November 16, 2006 at 06:38 AM I'm looking to have a giant, pink, stuffed pig made, bigger than is remotely possible to buy I think, approximately 100 liters, and something like 1½ meters. Therefore, I need to find a tailor or similar which can accomodate my strange requests. Does anyone have suggestions on a tailor/toy shop/"can handle anything for cash"-place where I might take this request. I am also potentially interested in having a suit made. Is there a trustworthy tailor you might recommend? If there's a place where I might just buy one (I'm 2 meters tall) that might work too. Grateful for all responses! Quote
johnd Posted November 16, 2006 at 07:12 AM Report Posted November 16, 2006 at 07:12 AM Maybe you can clarify if the suit should be in the style of a giant pink pig? Quote
heifeng Posted November 16, 2006 at 07:53 AM Report Posted November 16, 2006 at 07:53 AM honestly, I think the pig would be quite easy to make (easier than a good suit!). You can use a stuffed animal fabric pattern or reverse engineer an already stuffed pig that you like to see how the fabric is cut first and then draft and scale those pieces. you can then buy the fabric you like (and stuffing?) and just give it to a tailor, hey, give it to me and a wad of money, I can probably sew you a pig (ok, actually I don't have a sewing machine, but..if i did.....!!) Do update us with the end result of this...i want to see this massive pig! Quote
foolip Posted November 16, 2006 at 10:16 AM Author Report Posted November 16, 2006 at 10:16 AM I've contemplated skipping the stuffing and just making a pink suit, but that's not what I'm looking for. I also believe making the stuffed animal wouldn't be particularly hard, but I neither know where/how to buy fabric nor where/how to find a tailor in the city. Quote
