我们每天九点准上课: Is this sentence ambiguous?

我们每天九点上课.

I saw the above sentence and came up with these 2 possible interpretations:

[我们每天九点//上课.]

[我们每天九点//一定上课.]

Does it indeed have these 2 senses? or perhaps only one is possible and I'm wrong?

Thanks!

Thank you skylee and Errisa!

I typed it out just as I found it (我们每天九点准上课). It was an example from a Chinese textbook.

Do you both mean that it doesn't even mean 我们每天九点一定上课 ?

(If so it would be very curious, as the lesson was about 准 = 一定, and 我们每天九点准上课 was given as an example)

I am Chinese, before sending I amended this reply three times:)

Both interpretations are right. The sentence has different meaning in different enviroment. The sentence is seldom in written Chinese.

But mostly we say我们每天九点准上课.means 我们每天九点//一定上课.

The two sentences are used in two different environment:

For example:

1.

You ask your teacher: "明天什么时候上课?" ( You don't know when the class begin. )

He will answer : "明天九点整上课" ( That means the class begin at 9 o'clock )

2.

You ask your teacher: "明天天气很糟糕,9点能上课吗?" ( You know the time, but you worry about the bad weather probably delay the class. )

He will answer: "明天9点准上课” (That means he confirms that the class will begin at 9 o'clock no matter what the weather it is. )

I hope my examples will help you.
