adrianlondon Posted December 6, 2006 at 02:25 AM Report Posted December 6, 2006 at 02:25 AM You could have a "traditional" Christmas dinner surrounded by bored and lonely expats in a 5-star hotel somewhere. Or you could grab a load of friends and have Beijing Kaoya, pulling crackers and wearing silly hats to confuse the locals. That's my plan. I'm sure many pubs and clubs will have something special on; they have the advantage that, unlike the UK, they won't need to pay double or triple rates to the staff. You could have a bet with friends on how many seconds you'd last, standing in Tiananmen Square with a portable megaphone preaching bits of the bible, dressed as Jesus. Quote

Meng Lelan Posted November 25, 2011 at 01:46 PM Report Posted November 25, 2011 at 01:46 PM adrianlondon, I once saw a youtube video of a bunch of expats dressed up as Santas riding a subway to Tiananmen to sing carols, but security stopped them from entering the square. Quote
