CheeSaw2006 Posted December 20, 2006 at 04:23 AM Report Posted December 20, 2006 at 04:23 AM Any good resources for learning Mandarin tones, sounds, pronunciation, intonation, prosody accent etc. (But mostly tones ), some of you may have noticed i posted a similar question about Cantonese in the other forum. I'm a language lover, I have a desire to learn many languages, and near native pronunciation and accent (and in the case of tonal languages- proper tones) are all extremely important to me. So I'm building up quite a collection of language phonological material, pronunciation guides etc. Right now I am concentrating on Spanish for 6 months, and I figure i have enough time in a day so i can devote 30 minutes to 1 hour, to tones/sounds pronunciation etc. practice most days of the week for those 6 months as well. I think that would give me a great base for when I eventually move on to Mandarin. Quote
