youpii Posted December 26, 2006 at 06:47 PM Report Posted December 26, 2006 at 06:47 PM Ok I know it sounds silly but I can't use that page: http://www.unicode.org/charts/unihan.html if I type 好 and search, it opens that page: http://www.unicode.org/cgi-bin/GetUnihanData.pl?codepoint=%E5%A5%BD which is empty if I type 好, check the "Use UTF-8" box and search, it opens that page: http://www.unicode.org/cgi-bin/GetUnihanData.pl?codepoint=%E5%A5%BD&useutf8=true which is also empty ... Any idea ? Quote
Mike Posted December 26, 2006 at 11:19 PM Report Posted December 26, 2006 at 11:19 PM Put 597d into http://www.unicode.org/charts/unihan.html and you will get 好. To get 597d, stick your character in here to get the decimal 好. And use this to convert the decimal to HEX. Must be a better way to do what you want to do (website or a bit of code) but hope this helps. Quote
mandarinboy Posted December 27, 2006 at 01:19 PM Report Posted December 27, 2006 at 01:19 PM From the page: Searching is currently limited to the definition field and the six phonetic fields: three varieties of Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and Tang), the two basic Japanese pronunciations (Japanese On, or Sino-Japanese, and Japanese Kun, or native Japanese), and Sino-Korean. If you want to search for characters, there are several other on-line resources helping you with that: - http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=chardict - http://www.yellowbridge.com/language/character-dictionary.php?PHPSESSID=effc1a2bb967841f1ef65f7a18c4113d Quote
