Pengyou Posted December 31, 2006 at 10:06 AM Report Posted December 31, 2006 at 10:06 AM I am thinking of enrolling full time in a university in Tianjin. My four choices are: LiGong, Tianda, Nanda or Shifan. Can anyone comment on any of these? At 6,000 rmb I think LiGong is the cheapest with Nanda the most expensive at 8,000 rmb I have studied for a few weeks at Ligong in a one-on-one situation and find their instruction pretty good. Any comments? or things I should consider? My objective is to improve my ability to read and write, followed by improving my vocab. I am already pretty conversant. I have considered the HSK prep schools but I need to choose a school that will give me a visa. Quote
batavia girl Posted December 11, 2007 at 03:17 PM Report Posted December 11, 2007 at 03:17 PM hi, peng you... ni hao? so, you've been studying in Ligong.. Pengyou Posted December 11, 2007 at 05:33 PM Author Report Posted December 11, 2007 at 05:33 PM I only studied at LiGong for 3 months and it was in their one-to-one program. The teacher was pretty good. I was satisfied with the results. I have some friends who have studied in their full time program - mon thru friday, 8 to noon, and they were also pleased with the results. LiGong is in the middle of a part of Tianjin with a lot of housing areas so renting a reasonably priced apartment will not be difficult. But I think tuition is closer to 8,000 rmb per semester while Nanda is closer to 12,000 rmb. Quote

In your opinion, how's living in Tianjin? are you comfortable with the city? Thanks, Peng You... Quote
