Guest KurSad Posted March 19, 2004 at 01:42 PM Report Posted March 19, 2004 at 01:42 PM What level of the HSK can one expect to pass after finishing Practical Chinese Reader (PCR) 1? What about PCR 2? I have just finished studying PCR 1 and I'm wondering if I can pass any of the HSK levels. Quote
doumeizhen Posted March 20, 2004 at 02:13 AM Report Posted March 20, 2004 at 02:13 AM You could try looking at one of the HSK wordlists and seeing how many of the characters you know, or looking at one of the HSK practice tests. That should give you a good idea. You can find wordlists here, although they are in french. But if you know the characters that shouldn't matter, because you won't have to look at the definition. Good luck! Quote
roddy Posted March 22, 2004 at 02:37 PM Report Posted March 22, 2004 at 02:37 PM The HSK starts from a very low level, so I'm sure you'd be able to pass something. I never used the PCR (I bought it, but it just looked so dull . . .) so can't tell you, but you could get Sample Papers, do a test and tell us how you fare . . . If you let me know how many characters / hours of study you've covered, I'll look it up and tell you what level you should be. Roddy Quote
