adrianlondon Posted January 8, 2007 at 11:01 AM Report Posted January 8, 2007 at 11:01 AM I'm confused. When you say they don't mean anything, do you mean "they come up in traditional characters"? If so, then that's to be expected when you force the page to use a traditional character encoding. Try picking GB2312 (Chinese Simplified) and if it isn't picking the right encoding automatically, which appears to be the case, turn on "Auto-Select". Quote
devon_v Posted January 22, 2007 at 08:35 AM Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 at 08:35 AM Hi adrianlondon, thanks for your suggesting, but please look carefully at the second picture, the hanzi there don't have a reasonable/ right meaning as in the third picture, do you understand what I mean? I don't know why my IE displays those hanzi... Quote
gougou Posted January 22, 2007 at 11:48 AM Report Posted January 22, 2007 at 11:48 AM So what happened when you set the encoding to GB2312 (Chinese Simplified)? As Baidu's webpage is written in simplified characters, the encoding for traditional characters will always result in scrambled text (try setting the encoding to Chinese Traditional in Firefox, you'll get the same result) Quote
