Getting a haircut-- "layers" in Chinese?

In the UK I "cut" my own hair. This is rather easy as I simpy give myself a "Number 3" all over with a hair trimmer.

However, as there's a place next to BNU East Gate that does haircuts for 10kuai, I simply go there. No massage, though.

Here's another Chinese idiomatic expression to be used in your next Chinese conversation about hairstyles...

马桶盖

or

馬桶蓋

It is a style a bit more traditional than "mohawks." I believe that it's also known as the "bowl" cut.

What? "Toilet cover"? XD I don't think I'd want a hairstyle with a name like that, even if were a guy. So is it like, the mushroom-top cut?
