I am UK based and with a friend run an import business, we have been to China many times and have seen it develop and would now like to buy a property in the south of China as an investment.

I understand the difficulty as a foreigner to purchase and there seems to be lots of conflicting advise, does anybody know if it is possible to buy a property in China and what pitfalls are there?
