rose~ Posted January 30, 2007 at 11:36 AM Report Posted January 30, 2007 at 11:36 AM It's a good song, but they were caught plagarising a song by a Japanese band. So I suppose unfortunately they're not that talented after all. Quote

Do you know which Japanese band? I would like to listen to their music too! To be honest, I just discovered this 花儿乐队 a couple of days ago... K. Quote
rose~ Posted January 30, 2007 at 05:16 PM Report Posted January 30, 2007 at 05:16 PM There is a background story on the plagarism here. The original song copied by 花兒 was called K2G by Puffy. After reading the article I was curious to listen to the original as I felt it might be just subconscious plagarism, or quite subtle, but after the first few bars and the first verse it's really obvious. You can see what you think here. Edit: See also: Samantha Mumba- I Always Come Back to Your Love VS 花兒-我們能不能不分手 What's "copycat" in Chinese? Quote
Koneko Posted January 31, 2007 at 01:39 PM Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 at 01:39 PM Good stuff, Rose! I know some of Puffy's songs and my personal favourite is "Tomodachi" The Flowers are so unoriginal! I thought they were very talented at first! Copycat is 盲目模仿者 in Chinese. But I normally use "文抄公” or "文抄婆” Think they are slang words. K. Quote
