geraldc Posted January 30, 2007 at 01:52 AM Report Posted January 30, 2007 at 01:52 AM I spent the day going through phone records at work trying to find a contact number for a workmate's overseas family, as the number he gave to contact in case of emergency was out of date. Eventually tracked it down, and thankfully the family spoke enough English for me to get an urgent message across. The whole thing reminded me to check that I'd programmed in an emergency number to contact on my mobile/cell phone. Instructions available here http://www.icecontact.com/products.asp?productID=8 Just like to remind everyone in based in China to have in case of emergency numbers stored on their phones, (and clearly listed as such), and for that contact person to speak Chinese and whatever language your family speak incase they need to relay a message. Also have it written on a piece of paper in your wallet with instructions. Quote
