Jobs in chinese movies etc?

How can i get by in china? Where can a western woman find work? Is there any call for western women as models, or in chinese movies? I'm desperate to go abroad.

There are tons of English teaching jobs, assuming you are old enough. Especially if you have a "white" face...

I knew one guy who made a living acting in Chinese movies. If you look white enough, it can be done, but I think it takes time before this kind of career takes off. I also know people who modelled, but only to make a little extra money. I don't know if you can make a living with it. Teaching English is more secure.

you can get jobs modelling if you are thin, there are never enough white faces around. look up classifieds on thatsbj.com (thats beijing website). You can definitely more than pay the rent by tutoring kids privately. Seems most of the jobs are given to white girls (I'm of Indian origin and have only had one tutoring job, others never called back despite the fact that I'm American and speak English like any other joe schmo). Then again, lots of my white male friends have had trouble getting tutoring work too...

Modeling is pretty accessible.

I was sitting outside once in a busy place and someone came to give me a card, saying they were looking for models. That never happened out of China!

What I'm basically saying is that they are definitely looking for foreigners for modeling, to the point where they hire headhunters to find people.
