sorry, this doesn't look like a chinese character to me. could be mistaken, though. if somebody forced me to read this as a character, i would read it as 亮 which means, bright, loud and clear, sonorous, enlightened or to shine

Not Chinese. That's my appraisal.

But I guess it may be some kind of Indian language.

It COULD be Chinese (= could be INTENDED to be Chinese) and randall_flagg may be right .

(Againwin, if you've seen enough Chinese handwritings done by some people who don't know Chinese (tattooists, for example), you'd agree that the above is possible! )
