Fellowships/Exchange Programs for Chinese professors

Hi,

Recently a friend - a Professor in the English Department at a Chinese uni - has been looking for a position at an American University. She has contacted a few universities on her on and received some interest but would like to find out more about exchange programs, teaching opportunities, fellowships/visiting scholar things, etc.

The Chinese govt offers limited stipends for Professors to go abroad, but I think she must first get accepted into a program of some sort. Any helpful info would be appreciated, thanks!
