Jonny Wang Posted March 4, 2007 at 08:51 AM Report Posted March 4, 2007 at 08:51 AM Snowing here in Tianjin. How about Beijing? Quote
gougou Posted March 4, 2007 at 09:21 AM Report Posted March 4, 2007 at 09:21 AM There was some snow yesterday night, but most of it melted already. What's covering the earth now is wet firecracker shreds... Quote
roddy Posted March 4, 2007 at 09:40 AM Report Posted March 4, 2007 at 09:40 AM Yeah, was a light snowfall overnight, but not much and the ground was already wet from a day of rain, so it didn't last long. Only had one real snowfall here this year, 30th Dec I think. Quote
flameproof Posted March 4, 2007 at 11:25 AM Report Posted March 4, 2007 at 11:25 AM Neither yesterday nor today any snow here in Hong Kong. Does it snow much in China anyway? I heard that most ski slopes are made from artificial snow and that the north east is very dry and does not has enough water in the clouds for a good cover. Therefore I rather ski in Japan, which is more snow safe... Quote
Jonny Wang Posted March 5, 2007 at 12:24 AM Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 at 12:24 AM Our Tianjin snow kept falling all day, although it kept melting all day too. There's still good cover on the ground this morning - it all froze overnight. Roads seem to have been cleared pretty well yesterday. This is the third snow in Tianjin this winter, which seems to be a bit more than usual. I think we've only had maybe two snows each of the last several winters. Hopefully this is the last one for this winter and spring will come soon. With all the recent rain and snow, things should green up really quickly for an early, pretty spring (I hope!). Quote
