Guest Harry_Mudd Posted March 30, 2004 at 02:01 AM Report Posted March 30, 2004 at 02:01 AM just fooling with this Poll thing. I love it. oh, and he and xiang are quite close, can someone give me the difinitve hanzi? I'm tired of the locals telling me my handwriting is very good when i know it is shabby. I think they are the same only in the case of he the two halves are seperated not connected. Quote
skylee Posted March 30, 2004 at 03:58 AM Report Posted March 30, 2004 at 03:58 AM Did you mean 合 (he2) and 香 (xiang1), meaning "join" and "fragrance" respectively? If you meant these two words, the first is composed of 人, 一, 口; the second one is composed of 禾 and 日. Quote

39degN Posted March 30, 2004 at 08:11 AM Report Posted March 30, 2004 at 08:11 AM i guess they are 何 AND 向 the former is constituted by 单人旁 as it in 信 and 可, and the latter is a single character. as you see the 何's "heng" is longer than 向's Quote
Guest Harry_Mudd Posted March 31, 2004 at 02:04 AM Report Posted March 31, 2004 at 02:04 AM 39degN has it. It is the one on the left. My handwriting (In Englsih, let alone Chinese) is woeful, and it is very difficult to get a Chinese to criticize my work. they keep saying its good, when I had trouble teling the difference. I'll try harder. Thanks. Quote
