jinjin Posted March 14, 2007 at 10:46 PM Report Posted March 14, 2007 at 10:46 PM Hi, I'm taking the train to Lhasa and then flying back to Beijing--anyone have a person that they use to book their tickets or have any tips on booking plane tickets? I've only booked a roundtrip ticket from BJ to NYC and the guy quoted me three prices and it wasn't until I threatened not to purchase the ticket did he agree to the second price he quoted me (and he put my first name as my last name so I almost couldn't fly out from JFK to Beijing). thanks! jfranco Posted March 17, 2007 at 04:09 AM Report Posted March 17, 2007 at 04:09 AM I don't have an agent, but you could check out the following site: www.ctrip.com They allow you to book flights for inside of China and their rates are supposed to be fairly competitive. You can at least use their quote as a benchmark when you call other agencies. For travel from the U.S. to China, I'd check: www.bt-store.com I recently bought a ticket from the U.S. to China there and found that their rates were about 200 dollars cheaper than anywhere else I checked.
