Digital Camera warranty

I'll be in China another 3 months and I broke my camera. :(

I want to buy a small digital and was wondering if any cameras sold in china have a world wide warranty. I have heard that Sony might, and others not. Does anyone have more information on this.

Thanks.

P.S. any suggestions for a digital in the 2000 and 3000 price ranges?

You might want to revisit having your old camera mended. I had a small Canon Ixus which went everywhere with me.. it died. So I took it to Canon in Shanghai and got it mended for no fee.
