1-what is the difference between 包子 and 饺子?

2-what is the difference between 拉面 and 面条?

包子=steamed stuffed bun

饺子=dumpling

and the biggest difference between 包子 and 饺子is baozi is steamed while jiaozi is boiled in the water.

拉面is a kind of 面条,which is "dough pulled into strips for noodles"

It is "pulled"

Echo:)

I think that's right if we preclude fried jiaozi, fried baozi, which are both called 锅贴, and steamed jiaozi which has the name 蒸饺.

Besides, they have quite different shapes and are made from different foodstuff. As far as I know, yeast is essential for baozi. But Jiaozi doesn't need.

BTW, I think Chinese jiaozi is different from the so-called dumpling. They are virtually two kinds of different food.

Also, boiled jiaozi is often referred to as 水饺 especially when other types of jiaozi is available such as fried.

La men or the familiar Japanese word Ramen, is pulled by hand. Lanzhou is famous for hand-pulled noodles, but I've never tried it.
