Long Pan Posted April 25, 2007 at 02:42 PM Report Posted April 25, 2007 at 02:42 PM If your are European (and it should work also for American I guess), you can get your visa for free at the border (with a permit to stay up to 90 days in HK). Just be sure that your Chinese visa is a multiple entry one other wise you'll have trouble to go back Quote
Rincewind Posted April 25, 2007 at 05:11 PM Report Posted April 25, 2007 at 05:11 PM You didn't say what your own nationality is. The requirement for visas are dependent on this. If you are form the UK, then you can go to HK and Macau without the need to get a visa. I went to HK in January without any visa problems. For full details about who needs what and when look at http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.htm Just make sure your current PRC visa allows you to re-enter as HK and Macau count as leaving the country.
