[ask] hongkong and macau visa.

i have a plan to visit hongkong and macau this holiday.

1. do i need visa to enter hk and macau for 1 week( i have visa to stay in china 4 a year)

2. how much it gonna cost me? and where i can apply?

@mods: if this thread in the wrong place... can u help me to move it?

If your are European (and it should work also for American I guess), you can get your visa for free at the border (with a permit to stay up to 90 days in HK). Just be sure that your Chinese visa is a multiple entry one other wise you'll have trouble to go back :mrgreen:

You didn't say what your own nationality is. The requirement for visas are dependent on this. If you are form the UK, then you can go to HK and Macau without the need to get a visa. I went to HK in January without any visa problems. For full details about who needs what and when look at http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.htm

Just make sure your current PRC visa allows you to re-enter as HK and Macau count as leaving the country.

thx for the info guys i have read from the website and it looks like i dont need visa if stay less than 30 days.
