Arrest Warrant for Richard Gere

The Indian court has just issued an arrest warrant for Richard Gere on indecent behavior in public place. (Gere kissed an Indian actress -- if you have watched CNN -- he kept kisssing her and bending down until she almost fell to the ground.) He can be sentenced to 3 months in Indian jail if he is convicted. (Anyway he has gone home already.)

In a country where the guys never shy in scratching their itchy genitals in public, or urinating on sidewalk under broad daylight, or harassing the female passengers in crowded buses or trains, it is amazing that the Indian court would regard kissing as indecent behavior.

He's also banned from China. Quite the dangerous fellow.

But I can understand the sentiments of those who said Gere was disrespectful of Indian traditions and public norm.

Well at least Richard Gere is not alone. He and Jackie Chan are now soulmates where both won't dare step foot in India/Taiwan.
