Strawberries513 Posted April 28, 2007 at 02:04 PM Author Report Posted April 28, 2007 at 02:04 PM I typed in "拼命" in both of them and neither gave me sentences. Maybe I am doing something wrong?? In the first one I selected "easy sentences".... also, if anyone could give me some easy sentences with "拼命" in them I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked everywhere and not found any.... projectgcm Posted April 28, 2007 at 06:17 PM Report Posted April 28, 2007 at 06:17 PM The best by far right now is www.dict.cn. On the other hand In a few months we will have full blown sentences as examples for our users at www.gonzochinese.com. The good thing about our site is we will be constantly updating new sentences on a daily basis. Cheers, Daniel Quote
againstwind Posted April 29, 2007 at 03:49 AM Report Posted April 29, 2007 at 03:49 AM 拼命 1. be ready to risk one's life 在当时那么危险的情况下,我必须跟歹徒拼命! 2. go all out in work 为了赚钱,他拼命地工作。 最近她一直在拼命地复习,为HSK作准备。 他们正拼命地往山顶上爬。 Quote
David W Jackson Posted April 30, 2007 at 03:51 AM Report Posted April 30, 2007 at 03:51 AM Are there any online sites/dictionaries (the Maine Uni link has some) which have pinyin sample sentences. Some books which have great pinyin/hanzi/English sample sentences which I use all the time are: http://www.amazon.com/Tuttle-Learners-Chinese-English-Dictionary/dp/0804835527 http://www.amazon.com/Urban-Chinese-Mandarin-Century-China/dp/7561910908/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2432546-6289609?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177904955&sr=1-1 http://www.amazon.com/Oxford-Chinese-Minidictionary-Dictionary/dp/0198603649/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-2432546-6289609?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177905000&sr=1-1 (ignore the neg review, this is great for sample sentences) Anybody know of others?
