Change the font used in Windows Chinese Input

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the size of the chinese fonts used in the Microsoft IME for Chinese? In particular, I find the 'candidate list' is very small and almost unreadable on my portable laptop screen (only 9").

I tried increasing the overall windows font size, but this doesn't seem to make any difference to the IME font (anyway, it would be more useful if you could just increase the IME font by itself).

For Word documents, I guess and then use a larger font size in Word to see what I get. Sometimes (I'm seldom in a hurry), I go via WenLin.

I think you have to change your screen resolution (to lower resolution) to make all displays larger (which may not be desireable)... the font settings don't seem to affect the IME.

if you're using MS Word then you will see a little box that displays a percentage (normally 100%, but it can vary) change that percentage to a higher number and you will see everything inside the word document bigger, and without messing with the formatting. Same rule applies if you're using a pdf file viewer.

I think the OP's referring to the fonts used in the IME's little selection box, not the document itself.

Sogou's IME is very good and has an option to change font size. Not sure if MS's does, I don't think so. A switch to Sogou is a good idea anyway though.
