hanulbyul Posted May 3, 2007 at 09:02 PM Report Posted May 3, 2007 at 09:02 PM Hello everyone. I am a 27 year old student looking to spend 6 weeks in the summer in Beijing studying Mandarin. I am an advanced beginner who probably reads better than speaking. Upon reviewing the forum and browsing different sights, I am debating between ACLS or China Link Education. Compared to the University programs like BLCU, I did not see much feedback about these two private programs. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of these two programs? I am planning to enroll in the intensive program for 6 weeks (30 hours). My primary goal for wanting to spend my summer in China is to pass a language test requirement that I have for school. The requirement is to have basic proficiency in Mandarin (equivalent to HSK Basic Level 2 155-209/400). How many months of studying would be required to gain such a level of basic proficiency? Any feedback on this would be appreciated! Thanks! s.c. Quote
