klear Posted May 8, 2007 at 12:06 AM Report Share Posted May 8, 2007 at 12:06 AM I recently bought an I-mate PDA phone so that I could combine most of my devices into one. It was great for surfing the net until I did a hard reset and now all I can see is blank boxes where there used to be text. Does anybody have any idea why this is and how I could fix it? Thanks in advance
mikelove Posted May 8, 2007 at 02:52 AM Report Share Posted May 8, 2007 at 02:52 AM Are you using PlecoDict by any chance? If so, exit it completely (using the Quit command in the Dict menu) and that should get text back to normal in the web browser; unfortunately, Pocket IE doesn't get along very well with our font files, but exiting PlecoDict should unload them. If it doesn't, a soft reset should definitely do the trick. If you're not using PlecoDict, you might be missing a Chinese font file; did you have a Chinese enabler program like CE-Star or Monster Chinese installed on your Pocket PC before, maybe preinstalled in memory when you bought it? If so, try downloading / installing one of those and see if that improves matters.
