Looking for a forum...

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a very active Chinese discussion forum to practice my Chinese.

Any suggestions?

I'm also looking a forum where Chinese people go with their problems in learning English.

I would really, really appreciate some links.

Thanks.

I'm trying to register at this forum: CLICK HERE!

But it doesn't seem to work! Here's a screen shot of the registration screen:

You could work on several levels at once!

Having installed Skype messenger software I have found that by a happy accident that most of my contacts and new friends are Chinese who have all contacted me in the first place. This has subsequently taken me also into installing the Chinese Tencent QQ (with an account setup by a kindly new friend in China) and both of these messenger/chat software services have many people who seriously want to practice English and are very helpful in teaching Chinese.

All the messenger software I have seen uses text, microphone and webcam so you can type out hard words and chat at the same time.

Don't forget to put the link to this forum in your chats and get your new friends to visit here. :)

Best regards,

Richard.

For some unknown reason, "Powerapple" doesn't work.

I tried to register to "Xinhua" but just ended but being frustrated as the website would refuse pretty much every username I suggested.

Could you provide some help to register? It's really hard.

Rbrooks: Thanks for your suggestions. The thing is I had QQ but I don't want it. This is because I want time to carefully write my replies, which I can't do when I'm chatting.

I wonder how long it's going to take before I finally manage to join a forum.:(

You could maybe try the forums / groups associated with Web 2.0 sites. They tend to be a lot cleaner and easier to follow than most forums, which will be full of massive signatures, flashing gifs, etc, and sign up process is easier. Douban.com springs to mind - it's book and film focussed, but there are groups for lots of different topics.

Won't be as active as the likes of Tianya though.
