大家好,

My favorite Chinese singer is 王菲.

Recently I heard the song with title 原乡情浓.

I like very much this song, especially the beat.

Does anyone know the meaning of this title?

or what is the meaning of the lyrics ?

I wonder if there are available somewhere on the Net an English translation of the lyrics?

Do you know any site with English translation of Chinese songs?

谢谢你们!!!

HELLO:D

Faye Wong(王菲) is also my favorite female singer in China. 原乡情浓 is 邓丽君's song, reperformed by Faye. I believe you must know her who is Faye's idol:D .原乡情浓 tells a love story between a girl and a boy and the name probably means the deep love of them.台湾客家 calls mainland their 原乡—— original family or root.

I recommend you Faye's album 菲靡靡之音 in which she reperformed 邓's classic songs.Worth listening!!

I don't know if there's already a translation for the song, but here's a rough sketch, freshly composed for you:

原乡情浓

Love in home province

山上有路路难行 弯弯曲曲一层又一层

The mountain passes are difficult to travel, as they zigzag layers upon layers

小哥要去看小妹 不怕山高路不平

The country boy went to see the country girl, undaunted by the broken mountain passes

山上石头大又硬 歪歪倒倒一层又一层

The mountain rocks are big and hard, precariously piling upon one another

小哥不怕硬石头 只怕小妹心肠硬

The country boy was not intimidated by the rocks, only by the heart of the country girl

路边椰树高又高 风吹椰树一摇又一摇

Tall coconut palms on the roadsides were swaying in the wind

小妹爱哥…… 哥爱小妹 ……

The country girl loved the country boy, the country boy loved the country girl

香蕉树上接香蕉 树上香蕉一条又一条

The banana trees were touching one another with their heads

哥和小妹一条心 小妹和哥心一条

The country boy and the country girl were joined together with their hearts
